I assume you mean 'born in' when you say 'from'
Ed Hatoum was BORN in Beirut, but grew up in Canada
Claude Vilgrain was BORN in Haiti, but grew up in Canada
Rod Langway was BORN in Taiwan, but grew up in America
Jim Paek (and Richard Park) were BORN in South Korea, but both learned hockey in North America.
So, I consider them hockey players because of where they grew up, not because of where they were born.
On the other hand, Anze Kopitar probably fits the bill because he was born and raised in Slovenia, which only has 6 ice rinks and less than 300 registered players

I would say, a guy from a unique location is a guy who got to be a really good player, who had little ice time when he was a kid, a teenager, growing up in general. Some of the guys you mention were guys who were born in other countries but their parents moved to Canada or back to Canada. Some "unique" locations:
1. Jonathan Cheechoo - scored 50+ goals in the NHL last year, but grew up in Moose Factory Ontario. That's on/near a reserve, near Hudson Bay. No paved streets, no roads in or out I think. He still must take skating classes in the summer to skate better!
2. Anze Kopitar - the first player drafted from Slovenia (not Slovakia). The Kings drafted him in the 1st round!
3. Joe Mullen - he grew up in a really bad neighborhood in Brooklyn, and his dad was a guy who worked on the ice in Madison Square Garden. He had his son wake up at 4:00 am to get to Madison Square Garden at 5 so he would have good ice to skate on. Scored 300(?) or 400(?) goals in the NHL. A lot.
4. Darius Kasparaitis - grew up in Lithuania -actually it was part of USSR but there was little hockey there. He said he couldn't shoot the puck in the NHL because he played on a frozen lake as a kid and nobody had many pucks - if you missed the goal badly then the puck was lost, so nobody shot the puck! (maybe a joke!)

Madison sq. backyard is nice in Midtown long island, on right of Penn Station, making it common to get there from everywhere. it is likewise have been given good shops and eating places around it. it is have been given ok nutrition (high priced, however) and massive sight traces, and various background, despite if it is the fourth separate construction with the call. (This month marks its fortieth anniversary.) the only project i do in comparison to relating to the backyard is that it is packed with Ranger followers. RANGERS SUCK!
