where would our lower teeth connect to? the gums? then where would our lower gums connect to? how would we have mouths? if there were no lower part to move up and down? i mean this is basically what a chin is...right?

Think about early humans. Your have two grasping points at the end of each arm. Now you need a third. Your chin and yout chestbone form another. This HAD to be the purpose for carrying things over short and lonfg distances.

Snakes have basically no chin, but they dont need to chew anything....they just dislodge their ribs.
Now, if we could do that, we'd need no chins.....
