lately, i've been on websites and going to department stores for the fashion update. im not on an intern or anything- i just wanna look nice in the fall semester. I've noticed that skinny jeans tucked in slouch boots are very popular, matched with a pretty sexy top. Another trend are pencil skirts, but i really don't like that fashion, because i think it makes me look corny. (of course it could be different for you) I also know that designers has made totes offical and is one other fashion spread. Pumps, fashion sneakers, slouch boots, peep-toes, wedges, platforms, exotic prints and flats are definity in for shoes. Flats are easy to match, just wear a pair of dark wash jeans (skinny or flared doesn't matter) and it'll look sexy. I would recommend (although) buying flats in metallic colors, i've noticed they are way easier to match in. as for exotic prints, leopards are in. Wearing your clothes either CROPPED, LAYERED, CINCHING, OR ADDING FUR is all in. For cinching {as i like to say} is really just using belts, or making it look tight. For example, the whole belt thingy on the belly or waist. Retro-vintage is really in too, so you might wanna look for punkish gothic stuff. Leggings are also in, because they are useful for when you don't have time to shave. wear a tunic with leggings and you'll look pretty n chic

Leggings with denim miniskirts are out. They've been in since early spring and they should be done with by this fall. I've noticed leggings with long tunics are now slowly taking their place. The whole leggings fad should be on their way out come winter time though. I wouldn't buy into this whole trend now as it's going to come and go pretty quickly or at least this is what I'm hoping.
Skinny jeans are another very popular piece for this fall. I wouldn't buy into this trend either unless your very thin. You probably have to be quite thin to pull this trend off nicely. I would avoid it, especially if you have larger hips as it will just make them seem even larger compared to the rest of your body. If you are lucky enough to pull them off well, then shades of grey skinny jeans are in and that's the colour to go with.
Burgundy is definately a hot colour for fall and I've noticed that it's showing up in several different stores and magazines lately. So as for colour, that would be a good colour to pick. That is- if your skintone and facial features look good against it.
Moving onto patterns! It's all about stripes and polkadots lately. I'm sure you've already noticed this trend quite frequently on different individuals. Once again, you should probably be on the thinner side if you want to try out horizontal stripes as they will make you appear wider. If your larger, I'm sure you wouldn't want that. If you do for some reason though... all the power to you- I suppose? Polkadots are something almost everyone can pull off nicely! Their a much safer bet then trying out stripes as you would have to worry about looking bigger, etc.
Oh and I know I've listed more then three but I've got one more for you. Headbands are another main fashion trend for the fall. Stretchy black headbands, polkadotted headbands, etc.

Skinny jeans are still huge, they won't be going away soon.
Suspenders are in, worn with shorts or pencil skirts.

Can think of loads, the one i like are ankle boots(slouchy type, now worn with anything), skinny jeans still and the layering effect.
Also believe footless tights are top of the trends right now along with leopard skin.

Tight jeans all the way down I don't understand this personally the only time I would wear straight leg jean is if I were wearing heels

Oh my gosh... I can tell you that skinny jeans are all the rage!!! I love to be in style but I just can't get myself to buy one of these.... maybe I'm afraid of experimenting with them....
I've also seen stripes everywhere, big thing.
And lastly.... flat shoes.
