I admitted that I was wrong. I don't understand.

Not ONLY did you lie to her, but from your phrasing, I have to assume she found out the truth from some other source from yourself. So you 1) decieved her and 2) continued the deception with no indication of ever telling her the truth. Not to mention how many women consider the wedding, the ring, and all the other "ceremonial" aspects of the marriage as symbols of the marriage itself. So consider her point of view with those things in mind. If you still cannot understand why she is so mad, you're in trouble.

I don't know why she's mad but I think it's stupid it shouldn't matter how much a man pays for a woman's ring it's the thought that counts not how much something costs my husband's got me a zirconium ring before and I loved it because it came from his heart

She feels cheated. My husband acts like mine is a Diamond, but I am from New York I read the inside of the band. I know that his love is true, so it has never been an issue. He bought what he could afford. But your wife probably feels cheated. Give her some breathing room, know that she will mention it when ever you give her a gift again, and save up to make it up to her.

You cheap bastard! Why wouldn't you buy your wife a real diamond? Can't afford it? Then save up like allot of other guys have had to do. Women like diamonds! Get it?

Well, whether you are sorry or not, it is still a fake rock she thought was real. If you had told her from the beginning it was fake you wouldn't be in hot water now. It was the lie, not so much the rock.
Buy a real one if you can afford it, and don't lie to her again.
Good luck

Maybe if it was all built on materials, it may be trouble? But then, I've never been in that situation, and I don't know how it is obviously. Maybe I'd laugh it off, if I loved my hubby enough.

So, you told her she not worth much. She's not valuable. She's a lump of cole(). She's not precious and would not be high on your pedestal. You played the ultimate jerk-off joke on your wife for great sex.
Shame on her for believing you could purchased something so expensive...

Because it is fake and she thought it was real. You need to go buy her a real ring right now.
