Estrogen level may be too low for you in the current pills you are taking, you should discuss the possibility of switching to a pill with a higher estrogen level with your doctor if it remains a problem, because even though it's not really a big deal, or dangerous...it's still annoying to deal with.

Did you miss one of your pills? If you missed any, even just one, that can cause you to spot periodically until you actually start your period. If you've been taking your pills on a regular basis, then I would go see your doctor. If your periods are normally like clockwork, as you stated, then there may be an underlying issue the doctor would like to check.

This could be what Dr.s call 'breakthrough' which means your pill may not be strong enough and you have breakthrough bleeding. What ever the case, i also suggest you see a Dr. or at least call him and let him know what is going on.

How long have you been on the pill?

Go see a dr. right away. Could be serious.

But Maybe you just need to be on a different b.c. pill.

Either way, a dr. will be the only one able to tell you.
