It helps you get things in perspective, when the world and other people get you down, to realise that we are a small speck of dust in the cosmos, and that what seems large and oppressive to us is insignificant on the cosmic scale of matters.

There is so much out there that we know so little about but the little we do know is so fascinating, it whets the appetite for more.
I am hooked.

I think astronomy is awesome and should make people rethink about how small this world is compared to what still exists out there. My girlfriend loves astronomy also, she gets really deep into the knowledge.

I see myself in the Cosmos therefore I love Astronomy. (Hopefully a future wife does to)

The universe conceived as an orderly, harmonious system; a complex orderly self-inclusive system. All that exists in time and space including spectra of light, forces of bodies, cycles of the elements-life, intelligence, memory, record and dimensions beyond physical perception-mathematically calculated as the evidence of things not seen as yet, but which do appear in the Spirit cosmos that coexists with and interpenetrates the Matter cosmos as a grid of light.

I LOVE IT. I am planning in pursuing a career involving the sciences of space. My biggest dream is to actually go on a shuttle ride and experience it first hand. I want to see the earth from outer space! I try to learn about the beautiful planets and stars for the good of myself and others.

Yes. I like to read and hear about the basic things in 'layman' terms, though, because many specific scientific things that are real are also not that exciting. I like the new things, the new planets, dreaming of travelling in space, and wondering who else is out there...

No. I LOVE it. haha

I like a lot of sciences but it's easily my favorite.
I even got excited in the episode of the Simpsons where Lisa decides to become an astronomer.
