Where does printer ink come from?

'Now' happened quite awhile ago!
Uh, why don't you just check out Wikipedia.com, or just Google search ink?
Ink is made from various pigments & dyes.
Inkjet manufacturers add chemicals to the ink to resist fade, smudge resistance, and water proofing.
This is the reason why inkjet printer ink is fairly expensive - aside from overpricing.

From a printer ink tree, raised on farms.
Places like Staples, Best Buy,& Office Depot get 'em fresh from the farm.

If your talking about DOT Matrix printers, the ink comes from the ribbons....inkjet printers, ink comes from cartridges... laser printers.... ink comes from the cartridges as well... but if you shake the cartrige hard, u will mess up your shirt with the black dust.

There should be an ink cartridge (either black or color) located near the printing device...it usually has a number on the cartridge which will help you get refill cartridges.

It's called toner and I get it from Staples (don't know what it is made of, if that's what you mean).
