I've often found that a medium-sized cardboard box, a roll of duct tape, and a can of expanding foam insulation work wonders on cellphone noise. Apply those items to the cell phone in any way you see fit.

umm, well I dont know what you mean by you want to leave the sound for the ringer on, but when you turn the silencer on, all sounds go off, including the beeping, AND the ringer, if you want to be able to hear the ringer, but just not text, change the TEXT ringer to No Sound when sleeping and also turn alearts to no sound,
or turn it off JK

The razors come with a 2 minute giro, so you have to first throw it in the air and let it land that will reset it. then stomp on it for about 2 minutes or until you hear the beeping stop. your welcome
