1. Try a keyboard drawer. Push the keyboard underneath your desk once done typing, leaving the top of the desk for the cat to use as he feels he is entitled to.
2. There are programs that will detect and ignore keyboard presses that match a small animal walking over it. This is nothing new, I know it has been around for a long time.
If the cat wants to walk over the keyboard while you are using it maybe the cat is jealous?

Why not use a light weight plastic/cellophane, and this way you can still see the keys and keep the cat hair off the keyboard. Kind of like the plastic that you put your produce in when you go shopping, tape them together and there you have it.

Hehe, that reminded me of my cat I used to have. I taught it how to fly! When it pounced on my keyboard, I lifted it and flung it over my head. I didn't hurt it because it always landed on the couch. I think it liked it 'cause it kept coming back for more!

i don´t really know
but i do know that you can keep you´re cats out of the room you´re computer is in
and when you are on you´re computer keep the door shut or keep the cats in a diferent room with the door shut complitly
and if you do keep them in a diferent room don´t forget to put there food in there with them.

Why not just close the door to your computer room so the cats can't get in.
