What is the average time that this happens?

Sometimes it doesn't ... mine never did with any of my pregnancies - including this one & it's my 3rd. It depends on the persons body. No big deal if it doesnt!

Once you start to show a little it should begin to change. I started showing around 7 1/2 months and that's when my belly button appeared out of no where! It was a suprise one morning! As your uterus grows and pushes against your belly your belly button shall rise!

Hmm...I'd say mine popped out with my last two around 12 weeks, maybe? With my first, it didn't pop at all, really. Mine didn't become an outie, though, just sort of flat, although visable when wearing a light, tight shirt.

mines never turned into an outie I guess mines is way in there LOL!!! I only have one child though maybe when I have a 2nd that child will push it out!

Some people belly buttons don't become one dear. But I have seen in children right away with in 6 mths old. LOL sorry I miss read what u meant...

mine started coming out when i was about 5 months. Even though my belly wasent that big and i wasent fat it still came out.

Mine started happening in my 7th month. But mine was weird cuz it was only lifting from one side :-)

I've only had on child also, and mine never came out, it just kinda got flat.

I'd say around the 7th month. It was so weird for me! :-)
