There are a lot of states that have grasslands.

"The tallgrass prairies in the American Midwest may have been extended eastward into Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio by human agency"

The United States National Grasslands are protected areas in the Dakotas. There are three in North Dakota and two in South Dakota.

There are also grasslands in Idaho, California and central Oregon.

For a list of National Grasslands, I listed them below as number 1.
