As they meet in Cuba, India, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, Venezuela and other independent countries are more populous than the Nato countries. They are also progressively becoming more powerful militarily. They certainly are more populous.

Well then, if they ever manage to get their collective act together, then we are in real trouble. I'm not sure what your point is except perhaps a backhanded slap to the face of the USA and NATO. How do you define "important?"
If non-aligned countries form a military alliance for the specific purpose of waging war against NATO, then we've got the next world war on our hands. If, on the other hand, they form a military alliance with a similar purpose as NATO, to help maintain the peace of their regions of the world, then all is good and humanity might just learn to all get along.

These are NATO countries and the bottom two are the most influential and powerful countries in the world so no matter who is non aligned, as long as the U.S. and the U.K. stay allied we will be fine.
