If you have friends that won't except you for who you are they are not your friends. I recognize that you want to be able to share who you are with you friends, but are the really the kind of people that would not want to be your friend if you were half black? Tell your best friend first. Let her know that you are half black and let her know what concerns you about this, and also what you like about this. Tell her about both sides of your family, what you like abou them. Being your best friend, she should have nothing but love for you and that will make it easier to tell other friends of yours.

The chances are they already know you are mixed maybe just not sure with who. Are you ashamed of who you are I don't think so. To be honest I don't think it's the being mixed that bothers as much as who your mixed with. You know that some people already have a problem with black 's But you know that isn't true what they think because you have first hand knowledge of that. Look your family and who you are is the most important thing everything else is second. Be proud of who you are and never try to be anything else. Try this when your with your friends just say do you guy's no I'm mixed and see what they say. Then just take it from there

What possible benefit is there in telling your friends you're half black? Are you looking for attention? There will come a time when your friends will either ask you or find out from someone else. Why don't you wait til that happens and then talk about your race?

They are your friends, they already accept you. It isn't like you have to hide or reveal anything, you're you, and you're fine the way you are. Race should not be an issue at all. I am wondering why you feel a need to tell them? Are some of them making racist remarks and you feel they would not hang out with you anymore if they knew? If that's the case, they aren't worth having as friends anyway.

If they are your friends, it won't matter. I doubt very much that they will care one way or the other. If they do, it is good to know now. And anyway, why do you feel you need to tell them you are half black, or brown, or yellow or white or red? It is a nonissue, and if it is, find new friends who will accept you without knowing what your race is. They should like you for who you are as a person.
Best wishes

You should never ever be affraid to tell your friends your half black or half anything for that matter. Are you embarrased because your half black? If your friends won't accept you for being half black, then guess what? There racist and you dont wan't anything to do with them anyway.

Are you serious? I am half black (Jamaican and Italian) and I have always been open about it. If your "friends" dont accept you then they're not really your friends. You should never be ashamed of who you are. Besides, I always liked the fact that I was a little bit different.

If your friends don't like that you're half black then they don't accept you as a person. And your color shouldn't be an issue in relation to the type of friend they want.

Your culture is something that should be the coolest part of you. I mean F they ask or make a remark of what you are you could tell them "Actually I'm______" and more Q's could B brought up. cool Q's. there shouldn't be any of discrimination or dising you. Thier your friends! They should be happy to know that your not just a full white, full mexican or anything, having more than 1 race in your blood should be more intresting to others as well as to you. Be proud of it. show them that my culture dose this on this day or this day is the coolest day of my culture. no pressure on telling them. It's something that is intresting, not something that should be shouted out like a maniac out side. lol.... well I could be 1 of the many friends who loves more than just full cultured people. I like to find out more about my friends, like what thier country is about, what they do on holidays, and if it's cool for me to join so that I could say that that holiday is sooo cool!!! new cultures, new stories on the past of a friend.

They won't care! I mean, who cares if somebody is black? If white and black people can be friends, why not white and half black ones? I'm part black too, so don't worry. There's nothing wrong with that.
