May denizens of the Religion & Spirituality section would likely be offended by questions posted in the LBGT section of Yahoo! Answers. Those offended by these questions would more likely than not report them. Are we equally justified in reporting those questions in the Religion & Spirituality section that are offensive, harassing, and otherwise derogatory toward us?

Why would you think I would report you, RudeCat63? That statement makes no sense. . .

Isn't discussion of anal sex in any context considered to be adult content, thus subject to being considered a violation of community standards?

Well I think that the rules are being interpreted in favour of the repressive elements of Yahoo Answers.
To give an example I recently posted on the favourable effects that em.dee.em.ay. (ex tee cee) could have on revitalizing a relationship. My post was removed and I was penalized points. No reason was stated in the violation notice.
Compared to some of the offensive, homophobic and racist remarks posted here I think my posting was mild.
Apparently talking about drµgs is absolutely out of the question, although anybody who knows the gay scene at all will know that various kinds of drµgs are widely used.
It also a fact that we as gays indulge in sexual practices that are still illegal in various states. Is it then offensive to talk about tge things that define us.
I think that these rules are ambiguous. Perhaps this area should have a warning like nobody under 18 and This area could offend straights.

if it's a deliberate attack on us (i.e. using derogatory terms, telling is we're evil/sinful/going to hell/immoral, telling us we deserve to be hurt or killed, calling us perverts, child molesters, etc.), then hell yeah, I'm going to report it. anything that goes against the community guidelines I will report. whether it's homophobic, racist, hateful, explicit sexual discussion, extreme profanity, etc. I may mostly come to LGBT forums, but I go to other forums as well. It's amazing the things people are hateful about. like, I was in the pet forum and someone was talking about how cats should be killed.....insane stuff like that.
ANYTHING that is offensive, harassing, etc, should be reported...it is justifiable.

I only report questions that are blatantly meant to insult or spread hate, not just coming from a different point of view or misinformed. I can live with that.

Actually I go by the "report" list...Adult Content, Chatting, Epitats and slurs, intentionally insulting, Harassment, etcetera...
If it breaks it, I'll report it. Christianity does not make them above the rules regardless of what they think it gives them license to do or say.
