I answered a question the other day and another person, not the one that asked the question, has been harassing me because he didn't like my comment.I did not say anything rude, mean,or vulger but, this person has taken it upon himself to be the answer police. My husband got upset because this whole thing upset me. So my husband sent this self-appointed "answer police" an email telling him he better Not send anymore emails to our address. Today in my mail I have another email from this freak, telling me I have no class, and then said, and I quote"**** you".To me that's pretty low class. So does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this?I don't want to tell my husband. He's a police officer and has more to deal with than this kind of stuff. But I also wanted to warn anyone new to this site, that maybe you don't want your personal info.shown.Any time in the past, when someone from this site emailed me,they were always so kind.I guess there's freaks everywhere.

If you want to bring in the big dogs, here's a little info. Internet concerns are governed by the Federal Trade Commission, and I believe his harrassment would be considered a FEDERAL offense. Really want to lay down the law? Check out their website at "www.ftc.gov" and report him. They have computer forensics people who do just this kind of thing. There are also programs that can track the person by his IP address and tell you exactly where he is located. Go to "www.ip2location.com". Go get 'im.

In your Yahoo answers profile there is an option:

Yahoo! Messenger Settings:

Allow other Answers users to contact me via Yahoo!Messenger.

Make sure this box is unchecked

You can do a few other things to avoid being harassed by
the trolls and flamers who write nasty messages:

1) In your yahoo answers profile you can choose an alternate nick when posting any questions (never use your true yahoo id)

2) You can setup a junk e-mail address where all replies are
sent to instead of your default yahoo address you read

I hope this helps good luck!

Open the header of the Email to a Full Header. Copy the complete Email and then paste it into a new email you compose. Send the email to this address:

Do not reply..respond back. Ignoring a person is the right way. Do not feed this person any return comments. They will move on.

1) don't even open his e-mails, you have a block function on your e-mail page, block him, and you won't even need to see them,

2) report him to yahoo, if you've still got the mail he sent you, forward it on to them,

3) don't worry, these "flamers" aren't worth the time and energy,
