I am a cheerleader and i cheer for Rockets. I tell people this and they give me a look. I hate that even my friends do (the ones that arent cheerleaders) some cheerleaders are snobby and try to act all that but some arent and why does everyone take each and every cheeleader to seem to act that way? I love cheerleading its so fun but i am not snobby

Nope. I married a Filipina cheerleader!
My wife is from the Phillipines and was a high school cheerleader and is very sweet.
Some cheerleaders are snobby, but not all of them.

Unfortunately most people associate Cheerleaders as being shallow, pampered, unintellectual, teasing & manipulative. A stereotype if there ever was one but blame that on society. When you meet new people don't be so free with many details of your personal life at first. This approach will prevent the small minded people from pre-judging you. Let them get to know the intelligent, structured , witty individual I'm sure you are. Take care.

So what? Screw them! if you enjoy it , then that is all that matters! I was a cheerleader for 8 years, and then decided that I didn't want to pursue it at college, but I still admire those who do, and I love seeing my neices cheer at their games! People just don't get it, they think that all we do is jump and yell, and maybe some do, but where I come from, you have to have a strong backround in gymnastics and be very athletic, and dance to be a part of a squad! Half of them are just JEALOUS!

Girls who don't cheerlead are jealous that everyone pays more attention to females for their looks than for their brains.
I don't see people changing very much, as I don't see men valuing women's intelligence over their looks anytime soon. Its a biological thing, you can't really change that.
