As you cannot use a Sidekick (GSM) on Sprint's network (CDMA) the best thing to do is port your number out, pay the balance of your Sprint bill and refuse to pay the contract cancellation. Cellular providers don't have much leverage and will usually write off canceled contract fees if you are stern with them and do not immediately pay. Make sure you have ample complaints to list and voice those complaints with the provider before canceling. This will make the process of arguing the cancellation fees easier.
