It must be tropical, a community fish, only 1-2 1/2 inches long when it's an adult, and under $5. No goldfish!!!! Please, goldfish ARE NOT tropical, and need atleast 20 gallons. I will report you if you say goldfish.

I already have mollies, gouramis, and cories, now what should I get? Give me a long paragraph and possibly pictures or a website about them. If you just say "Betta", I WILL REPORT YOU. I am NOT asking you to name a fish, I am asking you to give me a fish and to tell me information about it. Be careful, the instructions are specific. And if one person gives me info on a tetra, DON'T GIVE ME INFO ON A TETRA AGAIN. I ONLY NEED ONE PARAGRAPH ON EACH FISH.

So please help?????

OK . . . I'll give it a shot :^)

In a community tropical tank, the fish you have listed would probably do well with guppies (I prefer the fancy varieties), swordtails, or platties.

Guppies are hardy fish and reproduce quite well. If you want to provide a safe place for the offspring, as in a floating mat of grass (either real or artificial), you can look forward to increasing your aquarium population. The fancy guppies come in many varieties including Cobras (red and green), German Rose & Half Black, and other colorful and interesting patterns. The males are the show-offs with all of the color. Females tend to be bland and considerably larger.

Swordtails are also interesting and colorful. They do need to have a full hood since they can leap right out of an uncovered aquarium. Many times you'll see stray swordtails in aquarium shops that have jumped from their original tank to another :^) They are also live bearers like the guppies.

Platties are nice but don't come in as many pretty colors. They are fairly sedate fish and usually don't bother other fish in the tank. This is another live bearing species of tropical fish.

Good luck . . .

Bala sharks are my favorite. Make sure your tank has a lid as they are jumpers without one on. They are so pretty. The sites say they can get really big but we had tropical tanks that were pretty large and ours never got huge- because they are non agressive they won't bother other fish even if they are smaller. Lots of info online- just google Bala Shark. You can get them at any pet store. Hope this helps.

The Bala Shark, also known as the Silver Shark, is originally from Indonesia and Southeast Asia. They are referred to as "sharks" because of their torpedo shaped body and their large fins. The Bala Shark has grown in popularity within the fish community because of its versatility in any freshwater aquarium setting. The Bala Shark is a great community fish.

Among its attributes, the Bala Shark is an extremely hardy fish that is not very susceptible to Ich or other fish diseases, it gets along well with almost all other aquarium fish (they do not pick on smaller fish and because of their size and swiftness, they are not picked on), they are foragers and help keep algae under control, and they are ominvorous (eat meat and vegetables) and will eat just about anything.
Also found another page that said:

Hardy" and "Undemanding" are good words to describe Bala Sharks, but it may take a while for them to get comfortable in a new tank, during which care should be taken so they don't jump out. They're among the best-humored fish you can get. Everything seems always fine to them, no matter where you want to set your water parameters or what you want to feed them. More than that, they're totally non-aggressive and very active, spending most of the time searching the entire tank for bits of food

I really dont know I guess you ust take the one from the store that most appeals to you. Do not get saltwater fish their tanks are so hard to take care of belive me my friend has one and they can barely keep up. In fact my friend is going to let her fish go tommorow because of the tanks dirtyness, she is a total animal lover and she wont let the tank rot away and let the fish die. If she had to eat worms to make her fish live forever,She would eat the worms. Her fish name is Salty......I'm rambiling about here but anyways the point is....My friend loves the fish and has to let go of it for how much the tank is dirty. You dont want the poor fishy wishy to die now do ya? Nuh huh didnn't think so. Buy a non saltwater fish so you dont end up real sad like my friend. P.S. she really loved that fish I mean she LOVED IT like it was a son!
Also do not go nuts over this fish thing it dosn't last long girl!

Why don't you get a clue first before you get some fish. And a little hint - don't be such a jerk when you ask questions out here.
