Well, doctors don't get paid hourly...they are salaried. I think regular dentists make about $120,000 per year when cosmetic dentist probably make in the upper range of $100k, probably closer to $200,000.

I worked for a dentist for 6 years. Dentists make money but because they have so much overhead, they are always in debt. They produce about $1 million a year but they only collect 35% of it. Sad, I know.

Median annual salary was $129,920 in May 2004, however self-employed dentists tend to earn more.

on private practice i would say $200/hr
