There is so much contraversy surrounding Ouija boards. They look like a board (or a piece of paper for that matter) with the letters of the alphabet. numbers from 0-9,yes, no, maybe and usually some sort of centre point. They can look like anything you want them to. I made lots when I was younger. I even converted a small table into one. I used rings and a shotglass as a pointer.
As for it being dangerous many people have stories about it so I guess it has potential to be. Honestly it seems to be a waste of time. It was often hard to get a straight answer and then I just ended up running out fo questions.
To use one safely you should do it with at least one other person. Never do it under the influence of drugs and alchol. You should also protect yourself before you do one. Surround yourself and the board with white light and ask for protection from your spirit guides. I always began my sessions with a request like. "We only want to talk to good spirits who are willing to talk to us and cause us no harm."
You and your friend then put your hands on the glass, ring, pointer, whatever it is you are using and then you say something like "Is anyone there" If so it will move. Some people the ouija board won't be open to. I have ahd experiences where my friend and I got really good results and another of our friends went on and it moved slowly. Soemthign about people's energy I think. Also you need to say goodbye before youtake your fingers off the pointer.
These are jsut some basic tips I picked up. I never found mine overly dangerous

hey
Ouija is a form of a psychic tool just as crystals ,tarot and any number of things that help us communicate and get answers ,the problem is the inexperience of the users because Ouija is usually the first thing young people try .
with the other psychic tools practice ,study ,and other things are required before you actually get any sort of valid info.and so is not as attractive to young people ,who just want to have a good time and are curious .
i do not recommend Ouija when young and inexperienced ,young teens have this high energy field that can actually pick up the more negative aspects of fortune telling etc etc .
but like all tools if your with someone experienced and who is aware of the different energy coming through then it is fine ,but negative comes through very easily with Ouija .it isn't that something can HARM you but to pull in spirits that are stuck in between they really have no knowledge to share other wise they would be on the other side already ,so what Ouija does it contact with souls who have problems and they want anyone to listen to them ,,,it can be a very scary experience .......
i hope this helps a bit .

The Ouija board has been used by thousands of people for spirit communication and is very similar to automatic writing, the only difference between the two being the absence of the board itself in automatic writing. Both forms of communication are very dangerous, as are sances, because they are usually uncontrolled forms of communication. In other words, the individuals that use these channels are usually novices and are unaware of the possible dangers that may await.

I had a board when I was 12. I remember my friend was visiting and we were messing around with it, and I asked what the name of my future husband would be. That pointed thing went to the S. Sure enough when I was 18 I met the man who was to be my husband and his last name began with S?????????????????

They are legit in that they can call up or communicate with the dead or other creatures. They just aren't the dead spirits you think they are, avoid them. You will call up the wrong demon and then the real trouble will begin.

yes, but they can be dangerous, besides u don't get reliable answers. I knew a guy who called queen elizabeth's spirit and then she didn't leave easily. it's bad to call the spirit of a certain person coz if they have been reborn, its v painful for them to come and go back.

Supposedly a pregnant friend of mine went to a party and asked the thing what her baby would be like (boy or girl, healthy etc.)
It told her her baby would die. It was stillborn.

I dont think they are; but you never know. Have you ever seen What Lies Beneth. She uses a ouija board in that and it worked. But just my opinion; i think its fake.
