Is it worth it that american soliders are dying just because we want the oil thats there? Its bullshit and Im tired of it. I thought we were fighting the people who committed the 9/11 attacks. Its long past that, Bush has lost my respect.

One thing that a lot of people do not understand is the reason we are there. It is NOT for the oil. The reason is to plant democracy in the Middle East. We have only STARTED to plant it in Afghanistan and Iraq. Bush said when we started this that it was going to be a LONG war. (Meaning 10 or 15 yrs or longer.) The other thing that people seem to forget or never bothered to learn is this: Muslim extremists do NOT want to be friends, they do NOT want to co-exist with us.
They want to be THE religion in the world...the ONLY religion. They believed that we would turn tail and run if they attacked us, because of past terrorist attacks and what did we do? RAN! What did we do when they attacked our Marines? We LEFT. What did we do when they attacked the U.S. Cole? We left the area as soon as possible.

The following is from the New York Sun website via the Glenn Beck website:
The leader of Iran's proxy in Lebanon, Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah, has stated that if the Jews "all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide," and said, "it is an open war until the elimination of Israel and until the death of the last Jew on earth."
Sounds a little "Hitler-esque", don't you think?

We should stay in Iraq, the truth is weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq, that's why we're there. The first Gulf War proved that Saddam Hussein was just a pathetic loser who felt like he could beat up on the little guy, and we taught him a lesson then. Now wer're teaching him another, he's been captured but that's not all that's left to do. We must stay untill they have stable capitalstic government, and we must stay untill they can defend themselves. If we left now how long would it take for another dictator to take over? This war I believe was primarily about Saddam, not 9/11, and certainly NOT ABOUT OIL.

I want the war in Iraq to end. Innocent people are suffering and Us has no reasons to occupy Iraq. Bush wanted to overpower Hussein and he did it. Al-quaida is probably not existing anymore or doesn't have another power to harm America. Everybody knows that the reason for Us is still there is crude oil and gaining power.

Me.

And I wish more people were aware that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11; it's just a poor excuse to get our troops over there.

It's impressive how many people think 9/11 is related to Iraq--and it's not people's fault either because our President likes us to believe this.

Get of the oil excuse. Everyone wants the war, every war over, but not until we are done.
Agree of disagree with the war, attitudes like yours is helping prolong the war by showing our enemy that we cannot get behind our country and our troops.
