Love is a human concept. Animals exhibit loyalty and affection which strengthens bonds and ensures family stability (which promotes a united front, which then leads to a greater chance for survival).
That all said, ra bbits DO show affection in the form of mutual grooming. Rabbits lick hands, fingers, ect.. They also bump noses with you (which is a sign of greeting for those they consider part of their 'warren'), and race around jumping in the air to express their happiness (contentment).
Of course every rabbits' personality is different...some go their entire lives never really showing their affection. However, their obvious displays of happiness and their allowing you to pet them/hold them should prove how much they trust you.

First off, having rabbits is completely different from having dogs or cats and the affection they show is also in a different way. It's obvious how much our buns love and depend on us, and that's not just at feeding time. In a group of ppl and other rabbits, our girl would play with everyone but also make it a point to come back and get cuddles from her owner since she could pick me out from the crowd. When she's loose from her cage, she wants to stretch out on the floor and be loved and petted since rabbits are such social creatures. She definitely loves us and is comfortable and secure in our home.

Rabbits don't necessarily show love...more affection and trust. They will lick hands, fingers, arms, legs, feet (anything they can reach really...), they will bump their nose against you, they nuzzle with their owners if they like to be held. I have one that every time I sit down on the floor, he has to be on my lap. He will follow me around like a little puppy until I sit down, and the second I'm down, he's on my lap in the blink of an eye hoping to get a treat or a scratch behind his ears.

Before it passed away, my rabbit used to lay at my feet, play tug-of-war with my leather keychain, run circles around me when I sat in the middle of the room, and run after me as I walked away from it.
