there are some things i found that are labeled that. random things, too, but they're related to fruits basket. i think it has to mean more than just the character's name b/c those items weren't even kyo items.

KYO: Male Name, Japanese
Means "large" or "approval" or "ginger" in Japanese.
Kyo in fruits basket, had "ginger" or reddish colored hair. He also sought the approval of his friends and especially his sensi.

It's just two different ways to spell his name, as far as I know. Both of them are correct.
