A person who is reserved is steady and reliable. They are private about their life at times they keep to themselves. They are calm,
not overly talkative or very outgoing, they are nice to be around.
Steady and reliable people are very stable and grounded, and that is what being reserved means the opposite of reserved is outgoing, charismatic and loud.

they keep to themselves mostly. a person who speaks few words... do not mistake this oddity, for being stupid, just reserved... for there is much peace to be found in silence... it can be a personality so beautiful, that of a reserved person... when they are thought of, one can only imagine it being wonderful in every way...i only pray that i can find a wonderful, reserved, woman to spend the rest of my life with...

It means that They don't share their innermost feelings with everyone.By feelings I mean emotional outbursts of anger, lust, or excitement. Hopefully they only share their innermost thoughts, with God and best friends. It also means self restrained or set apart for some purpose.
