I just changed the starter for my 1993 corolla, sometimes the car is cold it cranks a little bit longer than usual before it starts. Why is that?

I changed the temp. sensor 4 months ago.
The crank issue appears after I change the starter.

If the coolant temperature sensor for the computer is out of range and the computer thinks the engine is warm, it won't allow the extra fuel necessary for a cold start. It is like trying to start a cold engine that has a carburetor without a choke.

It's called maintainence!!!! Get the thing tuned and it should run fine! And stop using the 87 octane! If you treat it good it will treat you good!!!!!

The fuel system is draining back to the tank.

try new spark plugs, they should be changed every 40-50,000 miles.
