I got this answer from one of my questions and I quote " I'd say get the Dell. The Alienware has a Pentium D which is bottom of the dual core ladder and has heat issues. The Alienware also uses integrated Intel Graphics, the worst graphics on the planet. I honestly never knew Alienware could make that crappy a machine. I guess Dell really ruined the company when they purchased it.

The Dell on the other hand has a Core 2 Duo processor which is the best dual core option out there. It also has a minimum of a DVD burner and a much larger hard drive. At its base cost it includes a solid GeForce 7300 video card. It's not the best but you can choose better if you want to.

For the price, the Dell totally blows away the Alienware computer "

I have never seen an Alienware with a Pentium D proccessor I'm pretty sure that they have switched to AMD Proccesors beacause Alienwares are made for gaming and AMD is a better Processor for gamingfor the price you would be better off with a Dell but for overall performance go with the Alienware

Good Luck

The Dell has the same Core 2 Duo as a Macbook, but the Dell can only run Windows and Linux. The Macbook can run OS X, Windows and Linux. Both OS X and Linux are far more secure than Windows, but OS X is easier to use than either.

Yeah, I think that's a pretty accurate assessment.

Take a look at the Dell Outlet site as well as their normal retail site. I saved about 40% on my last laptop from the outlet.
