One of my good friends got VERY drunk and her boyfriend wanted to have a threesome with me. I am not bisexual, and I was engaged, so it didn't happen. Does the fact that she even agreed to do it make her bisexual, or is it a case of going all out to please your man? She claims she doesn't remember it at all. She's never mentioned attraction to any woman in the 10yrs I've known her. What's the deal? Sleeping with a woman just ain't gonna happen just to please my man. Is it just me, or is she bi?

Labeling another person, or not allowing them to identify themself (identifying them yourself without their permission) can be very socially harmful.

How many people are mislabeled into one category or another and essentially made invisable and even invalidated as an individual? Labeling other people happens very often, and can create invisable minorities which limit people's access to resources and protection.

Here is an example of how labeling other people can create a social minority with limited access to resources and protection:
How many sexes are there?

Over 30, actually. How many are recognized by mainstream society in the US? 2. Where are the rest of them? All around you. But they are invisable because people label them males and females and then label their genders and their sexualities... their identities.

How many sexual orientations are there?

More than 40.

What information are you using to label a person? How much do you actually know about your fellow human beings?

Please don't label another person before they identify themselves to you, you could be harming someone...even your friend.

I believe she was drunk and having a good time, and you did say she was Very drunk! If she would have gone through it she would probably hated herself in the morning! And you did the right thing for not going through with it.

An alcohol induced yes is not consent. She wasn't in her right mind at the time. People get high and think they can fly. This doesn't mean that they can actually fly. It sounds like most of it was the alcohol talking.

Are you always 100% responsible for everything that you do when you are drunk? Would you prefer that someone judge you for actions that you take when you are intoxicated?

No, she might have done it to please her guys. There are a lot of girls out there who would be with a woman for their men.
