The books are far better than the movies are. I loved A walk to remember and cried a lot at the end but the Notebook was amazing.

I have seen both movies and I have to say "The Notebook" is my favorite and it definitely made me cry. I guess because Alzheimer's is such a sad disease...can you imagine finding the love of your life and they don't remember you or the wonderful memories you've shared! I cannot. "A Walk To Remember" was a really good one too, very sad, but I didn't really cry watching that one. My mom has a bunch of Nicholas Sparks' books and I want to start reading them.

Are you kidding, I sobbed in both of those, especially in the Notebook, when they were in the bed together and the nurse came in.....SOB.
So, I guess that answers your question, the Notebook is my favorite, but, A Walk to Remember is ,heart achingly, a bitter sweet romance that leaves you crying and saying 'ohhh how unfair".... So sad......

I cried harder than I ever have IN MY LIFE when I saw the Notebook. Im married so I guess I imagined my life like that or I should say - I hope it would be like that.....hubby by my side loving me with the most intensity ever, it was a beautiful love story. I hope there really is love out there like that........

99.9% of females love the Notebook but I'm not one of them. I thought it was boring and too wanna-be "cute". The book wasn't very good either.
A Walk to Remember was pretty good though.
