I did that once when I was in middle school. I think that you should either tell the flat truth or say that you and your "boyfriend" had a fight and broke up. Get rid of the fake boyfriend somehow, it's not worth the drama. Oh, and don't lie about stuff like that. Having a boyfriend doesn't make you a better person.
