LOL - good question. Thank you for lighting up my day.
No I don't think it's disrespectful. Unless, perhaps, if you make up your own words or something like that.

in case you're only whistling it to whistle it, i do no longer think of it is disrespectful. in case you're in a crowd like say at a basketball interest and that they ask anybody to upward push at the same time as that national anthem is being sang, and no person interior the objective audience is making a track, that's silent aside from the single guy or woman making a track into the microphone and you're status there whistling, then i might think of it might look disrespectful, basically because's extra like a 2d of silence. yet does your organization sing the national anthem at the same time or some thing? How might your coworker be responsive to you whistle to it?

If anything it is respectful that you would choose to sing it anywhere. When my radio in my car was broken, I used to sing to myself to keep from falling asleep on long trips. The National Anthem was one of my standbys....and I know both U.S. and Canadian Anthems.

I can do "God Save The Queen" using my armpit when I am in the shower.

I am saluting with the other hand

Disrespectful? Never - I think Her Magesty would be thoroughly proud.
