I hope this doesn't sound cliche, but go with the one that you think you will like doing the most. You mentioned that you are most interested in climatic weather patterns, but are still interested in the geo as well. You later say you like the two equally. I'm going to go out on a limb and say pursue, at least for now, the climatologist route.
As far as the money, it won't matter how much you make if you detest going to your job every day! What matters is whether you will be happy with your job. You know what they say, "When you love your work, it's not really work."
Good luck!

First, you shouldnt be worrying about the pay. If you become a scientist (that is, if you get at least a Master's degree and probably a PhD) in one of these areas, you will make a decent living. You won't be rich, but you will make a living. So what really counts is, is that the thing your really love!
You should follow your heart about what you really like to do. If you think weather is just fascinating, then go off to college and get a degree in Meteorology. But if rocks are your thing. go for a school with geology.
If you want to get rich, you should forget all about science and do something else. Hardly any scientists are rich. But all the ones I know have a decent house, a nice family and a car that isnt too old. And they really, really love their jobs.

Choose the one that you love the most, remember career is a long term thing so do the one you enjoy. Choose geoscientist as it pays more

I recommend that you interview one person in each of these careers (an informational interview). Ask how they got into the field, what they do/do not like about it, the hours, the pay, preparation, education, etc. This will give you more of an idea of your preference. Also, career counselors are very helpful and their services are available to prospective and current students at no charge.
Best wishes.

Do whatever you want, you could make a million dollars an hour (impossible, by the way, just an exageration) on a job that you hate, and have to drag yourself out of bed. Or you can get a job that pays more modestly and love it, never having to make yourself go to work. I hope I helped!

(a), because you said you liked it more.
It's only money, and unless you are greedy & stupid, you can learn to live on even the most pitiful wage. It is far better to be happy at work than to be rich & miserable. (I have been rich & miserable before, and I didn't like it, no sir, not a bit)
Of course rich & happy wins hands down, but it's easier to get here if you start out happy.
