My answer would be NO a person can like sex a lot and want to have it all the time but i would hardly call that an addiction an addiction is something that you cant quit..sex is something that can be quitted just get married or get a disease of some sort that usually cuts down if not cuts off sex..lol.
There is the word nympho wich describes a person who loves sex and has it all the time and a lot of times has multipul partners.
A person doesnt cheat because he/she is addicted to sex they cheat cause they dont love the person they are with and if they say they do they lie and they dont know the meaning of love.
To back that up i have known many people who have cheated on their other half but once they found true love cheating was out of the question.

Some people have addictive personalities, and the addict of whatever substance it is, has a physical need for this drug. Love and or sex causes the brain to produce more of a certain chemical that is more addictive than even cigarettes! Just thinking about sex or a certain love interest can trigger production of this chemical. This happens in male and female brains.
I daresay, people have learned constraint or there would be an orgy going on in the streets, 24/7. There IS a name for this chemical and I will list the source below.
As with other addictions, there are "cures" or ways to skirt the addictive behavior. There is probably a 12-step program for love-a-holics!

to start with, yes sex can be an addiction, someone can get addicted to sex, if they do it, they wont feel ok.
par example, if you like start to have sex since 16, and you just start as a teenager to have fun, then you get really attrated to it, and you want to do it again. and you become to do it so often that it becomes part of you life. if you dont do it, it is like you are dead. it is just like a drug, you start really low, then it becomes a habit, then an addiction. and once you reach the addiction stage, it will become really hard to forget about it. if you get married to some body who can not satisfy you, you definitly will cheat on that person because it is already an addiction and you cant leave without it.
for some people that is the reason why they cheat, but some others, it is just because they see another girl or boy whom they think is cute, then they just do it for fun, or they can cheat too if they have some wrong with the other member, or between them.
but that is not the only reason why they cheat.

It' is possible to be addicted to sex, although it's not really the sex that people are addicted to, it's the feeling that they get when having sex. It might be a feeling of supremacy, being needed, payback.....whatever the emotion or "rush" a person gets from having sex is only the physical manifestation of an emotional/phycological need or problem. Infidality also fits into this catagory, no one is unfaithful without there being some underlying unmet need that they have a craving to get fulfilled.

Anyone that cheats cheats because he is not happily married maybe his wife is not open-minded for example not liking oral sex so his needs are not being meant this is no reason to cheat. What he should do is leave first, file for a divorce then go out with other women.Secondly better then cheating if his wife has other men then it agreeable to both that is called open marriage better then cheating.Myself I have never had the desire for another women.I do want my wife to be open-minded and enjoy sex and fantasies with me.Two wife's that is selfish crazy and against the law.

yes sexual addiction is as real as love addiction and heroin addiction. sex releases chemicals in your brain that make you feel great. Addiction can lead a person to cheat but there are several things that could lead a person to cheat without being addicted to sex... some sex addicts need it to feel alive and they don't consider the consequence. just as with any addiction, it is the addiction that runs the life... if they let it.

Yes and No- I was once addicted; i didnt go looking for it but when it came along, I needed a fix, It didnt matter if i had it earlier that day.
Actually I guess its more of a compulsion. Does this excuse it, absolutely not. It can be controlled; its just a little hard to do.

Yep, it is real. It may factor into cheating. Sexual addictions can be voyuerism, pornography, date rape, ect. It can be an addition to a person sexually or just the act itself. Some people like the visual sexual attention while others like the sexual feeling. Sex definitely can give a high feeling like none other!!!
