a better and more extreme example is norh korea. Authoritarian is rule by authoriy of the leader and NOT the people. The people are not consulted - the leader just goes ahead and does what he wants and crushes all opposition to his will.

North Korea is ruled by Kim Jong-il.
He has total power over everything that happens in that country.
