I think that when someone tells you to "turn the other cheek", he's telling you to refuse to fight back. When u turn the other cheek to someone who slapped you (litterally) it's like you're telling him " If you choose to fight, fine go ahead, hit me again" By doing this, you are showing the person that he is not making you feel any worse by slapping you (psychologically, that is, since you must obviously feel some physical pain ). Therefore the person will feel no satisfaction in hitting you because it's not hurting you. So the point in you turning the other cheek is FOR the other to hit you.

To turn the other cheek does not mean to put yourself up as a target, it means do the necessary to stop the other person from harming you or others.
If you knew someone who slapped you was mentally unbalanced, would you hurt him in return? Of course not,
Don't you think there is something fundamentally wrong if someone slapped you for no reason?

This has actually happened to me.

I offered the other cheek, pointed to it with my forefinger and quietly asked, "Do you want to hit this one too?"

The kid was so stunned and embarrassed that he ran out of the room.

I don't recommend this for anyone else because it might not work out the same way!

then you drop to your knees and headbutt them in the stomach and run the other way.

or you put your arms up in a kind of bow, that should block both slaps.
or if you hold your arm out thena wind will blow come and blow the person away. It really works!LoL
