I went back on Wellbutrin a few days ago. I've already noticed a decrease in craving smoking. I find that I am still smoking tho out of bordom for my mouth. I work in the evening and there is NOTHING to do to keep me busy and not think about smoking. I don't want to chew on pens or anything bad for my teeth. Any suggestions?

You need more of a plan than the Wellbutrin. First of all, you usually do not notice a change in your cravings that quickly.

You need to change how you are spending your time. This includes time at work, home and play. If your job is that boring and meaningless, it might be time to change jobs..............You could be using suckers at work or hard candy.

Do you drink tons of water and fruit juice? You need fresh veggies and fruits. What are you doing at home? You need to keep your hands busy......Knitting, reading, etc. You don't sound at all prepared to quit......

Get some help from a friend or the internet. Have your plan in place before you end up quitting from sheer frustration.

If you need help you can email me too. I quit after 40 years. I am not bragging about it. Yell if you need me and good luck to you. It will be in the top five best things you ever do for yourself in your life.

I carried a lighter in my hands...for me smoking was a hand issue. I also started filing my nails alot. Good luck, and be careful, Wellbutrin can have anxiety side affects and sleeplessness.

I've been on wellbutrin for depression, I didn't know that it could help with addictions also. Hmm anyways.. I would try chewing gum or sucking on mints.

Chew gum, hard candies and (I know this will be hard to do) keep busy, boredom is the key factor when trying to stop. People I know just kept striving towards the goal and most of them made it. Best of luck to you.
