Seems like almost every company that i've worked for has bosses or supervisors that are either complete idiots, biggots, or asssholes. This is after they rave to you about how they will provide you with the neccessary tools and resources to do your job, how they will help develop you along, and all those other B.S. But guess what? Turns out totally opposite every single time, and especially in the corporate world. Don't these fukking idiot supervisors know that the key to an effective teamwork environment lies in their desire to make the workers who do work hard feel welcomed? FUKKING CORPORATE SUPERVISOR CLOWNS !!! (Who out there feels the same way and agrees with me ?)

Most of these idiots just know how to stick a bunch of work in your face, then don't provide you with any training nor resources to do the job. Who had this happen to them too?

And when you go ask them, they give you an attitude, especially the ones with low education, and limited racial exposures.

I feel your pain. most bosses are put their because they were good at sales so they were promoted, not because they have great people skills. Yes some are bigots and say dumb things in the office. I get it all of the time. They want to get a rise out of you so they can report you to HR and get you fired. That's the game they idiots play. Just smile and pity the fools and do your job. Write down everything you do, and all of the compliments you get especially via email, and if something comes up, you have that.

Ahhh Welcome to the team, we are all team players here, we offer job incentives, and call in experts in your field to give you a better understanding on how this product works, and how you fit into a growing successful company like ours. We offer 401ks' after 2 years of full-time employment, but then somehow your hours are just under that full-time status and Guess What? You guessed it!!! Realistically no-one is going to look after you but you. I think that an effective boss should periodically evaluate a persons progress, and see if they are suited there or possibly be put into a better position, I think a boss should be cordial to everyone under him, and listen to what the smaller people are saying, because they are what make the company. Unfortunately there are not many peole that go that extra step, cause as we all know, the chain is only as strong as its' weakest link. Right? oR THEN THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT ONCE YOU ARE MAKING A GOOD SALARY, SOMEONE comes along and he does the same job only for less. I'll tell you when I hear the word Team Players, I run the other way. Been messed up by too many Corporations.

Speaking as a supervisor - I like to think I'm not always an a_sshole, but I know that sometimes I am. Here are some of the possible reasons:
- we have bosses too, sh*t runs downhill; if we get it - you're gonna get it
- it's unfortunate, but the entry-level workforce that we have to try to get productivity out of is generally worthless
* no work ethic
* have to be shown exactly how to do things multiple times
* refuse to think for themselves
* incredible sense of entitlement
- when you screw up, which you will... repeatedly... regardless of what we do - WE have to answer for it
It is not a supervisor's job to make you feel welcome and happy. It is a supervisor's job to get as much productivity as possible out of you with the least possible resources. In most cases, you've been given the same tools, resources, and training that they were when they were in your position - yes, they think you should be able to do just as much with it as they did. If you can't - prepare to get torn a new one.
Supervisors didn't get to be where they are because they're good teachers or trainers. They've been given rank & resposibility because they are 'doers' - they get stuff done. They expect you to do the same.

Usually it's because the training that is offered is usually poor. The way such people claim that they will give necessary tools is where they usually don't know how to train individuals or they, themselves, haven't been proper tools or methods on how to instruct.
Teaching is an art form unto itself and it's a skill most people lack. Then when the employees become frustrated or have difficulty, the supervisors get mad at the individual.

Wow, you are angry...
I have found for example that coworkers and bosses may be a genius about underground utilities, but they can not manage personnel, budgets or communicate effectively or whatever the job may call for.
When I try to implement changes for the better, they take it personal. They are not open minded to suggestions either. I am always telling my employees, if there is a better way, tell me....if you see a problem give me a solution....
I don't take it personal....if they can make me look better, I am all for it.
Too many times egos get in the way

Most supervisors have no inter-personal skills. They think that the only way to get the work done is by intimidation when that is actually counter-productive. Unfortunately not many people are trained to be managers and even fewer are good at it.

I think self employment is the answer. Not that it doesnt have its own challenges. I've been working on starting my own business but in the mean time I actually relocated to work for a man that I respect and can learn from. I am as interesed in a good boss as they are in a good employee. You should be interviewing bosses.

I'm guessing you had a bad day at work? Some supervisors are that way because like you, they are being directed from above. Their boss is probably putting the pressure on them.
