I just researched that in the arab israeli wars, iran was never part in it. the U.S. also was in support of the shah of iran. Would 9/11 happened? Would the U.S. be in an arms race with China? like the cold war. Would there be peace in the middle east?

Can I resond with a question?

What would the Middle East be like if oil weren't a necessary product?

If the revolution in Iran hadn't happened it would probably be much the same. Most of the countries in the Middle East were created by the West after the downfall of the Ottoman Empire in the First World War. Most date from the early 1920's as nations in their own right and, it could be argued, that's where many of the problems come from. We now have a multitude of different types of government (in a relatively small area) which include Theocracies, Monarchies, Democracies and Dictatorships. Undoubtedly there are others, but the question or the problem is, those in power are happy with it. How do you make them see that the welfare of their people is paramount and they will lose nothing by relinquishing a little bit of their power.
Unfortunately most Arab states manipulate their populations in the states interests not in the peoples.

Iran would be dictated by the United States. That is where it was heading when the Shah was in power.. Iran would not be the sovereign power it tries to be today. That is why the US is trying to scare Americans against Iran. The U.S. does not want any power, who does not bow down to them, to have power. We want power, control , and oil. We can have control over Russia and Asia IF we control Iran. Why do you say would 9/11 happen? Iran had nothing to do with that , just like Iraq. 9/11 happened because of our foreign policies (period) and the lack of peace in the Middle East is because of our foreign policies (period)

In your lifetime and for another 3 thousand years there will not be peace in the middle east. As there many as there as grains of sand in that area there is nothing but war and murder and starving dying people, who from...........................their own kind. I feel my heart for them for it is a horrible situation, but until, those that are down beaten, raise up to their masters and put a stop to what is going on, then it will continue and the rest of the world will have to suffer along with them. Sometimes man must raise up in arms against another and bring him down to bring about a solution, but right now, only those that are willing to do the most despicable things to other humans and brother/sisters are able to have any sort of life. Evil is evil, will will continue as long as one lets it roost in its nest.

Who knows? If Osama had a serious birth defect would there be an Al Queda? If there was no WWII in which allies were forced to make nicey with Stalin, would there be no jihadists? These kind of questions are fun only when I've been drinking. They answer nothing.
