For what model?
If you mean, what does 'piston order' mean, it describes the firing order of each cyliner in a multiple-cylinder engine.

You really didn't give enough information. IF you are talking about a V8 then it goes as this. Ford is from the leading head (normally the right sitting in the drivers seat) 1, 2 is on the corresponding side and go back and forth. On chevy and dodge it's the left side (sitting in the drivers seat) # 1 is on the left bank then 2 is the next one across in the front and alternates as that.

The fireing order on a dodge and chevy V8 is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2

all 6 and 4 cylinder engines vary. Ford I don't know the fireing order but if you look at them like a chevy or dodge they are the same.

Each cylinder in your engine fires at a designated time, based on the location of the plug wires on the distributer, or electronic triggering device. Change these wires and the car will not run.
