It's not humans, but human nature.
We all have feelings of love, compassion, greed, hate, lust, anger, fear, etc. I think it's the lack of self-control over those emotions that creates those big problems in the world.
So I guess the problem to solve is how to learn/teach each other to regain control over our negative natural instincts and accentuate the positive.

The fact that humans and inherently both selfish and lazy (makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint).
However, there are so many wonderful things about humans as well. Generosity and kindess that's not easily explained. I mean, humans are our only hope, right? Don't get too depressed about the state of things.
Oh, and Global Warming. We're all going to die (well, yes, that is a truism, but I mean prematurely)!!!!!

I agree with you..Humans in general sums everything up into one. Humans are killing each other through terrorism, infecting each other with chronic diseases such as AIDS, etc. Pretty much all of today's biggest problems are because of humans. We even have a roll in global warming. What other problems are there that don't involve humans?

the Rev. Ike use to say "money is not the root of all evil ,LACK of money is the root of all evil." bush's policies seem to be concentrating wealth in just a few top percent .he needs to spread the war profits to all. Dylan said "when you got nothin ,you got nothin to loose" as in we re gonna start to eat the rich, soon

Hatred, fear, prejudice, and people being unwilling to let go of these long enough to sit down and talk rationally about the actual issues.
