well, this guy likes me and I like him. And it's been really dramatic at school because everyone's been trying to hook us up. Well, he refuses to ask me out, but if I did, he would say yes. Anyway, I heard that he was talking to a friend about me, and he said I was ugly and all of this. And this guy didn't apparently stick up for me. Everyone knows at school and should I just end whatever it is? I am soooo sad... and I need some help please! Thanks!

Don't ask him out. If he really wants you, he'll do it himself. You're not ugly, he was trying to be "cool". My friend said my crush was ugly after a bad haircut in front of him (she's an idiot), but I hit her on the arm and told her that her crush was twice as ugly with a bol cut. Don't worry, he doesn't think you're ugly and is probably shy.

HI I feel your hurt, I'm in a similar situation, however I am alot older and not in school, but my advice to you is not to believe everything you hear, it may not be true, any chance of getting him alone to ask him out? You will never know until you do, just go for it, If it doesn't work out honey you have a whole lifetime ahead of you and who knows there may be someone feeling the same way about you at this moment and wondering the same things, Good luck

It has been my experience that the minute you seem not to care and just get on with things, the guy makes a move. If you try this and nothing happens, it is as well to know that if you are left wondering does he, or doesn't he? then he really is not that into you.
If you can get that so early in life, it will save you from years of misery.

You should definitely find out if he said that. Rumors. Make sure and if he did then just end whatever you had with him and move on. No guy is ever worth you getting upset over. Just move on to the next hottie in school.

Yes. If the guy really cared about you, he would have stuck up for you. Most probably he just likes you but does not like you enough to ask you out or just be there for you. You should be with a person who really cares for you. Just end it with this one.

Yes, you should end it. You are way far too good for this person. He should have stuck up for you, no matter what the sitution. You have your whole life ahead of you...and always remember you are someone and you are special and you ALWAYS deserve the best of the best and to be treated that way. Tell yourself everyday that you are important , you are beautiful, you the best of the best and you dont deserve any less.

Sweetheart, forget about him. Don't let him destroy your self esteem, I'm sure you are a beautiful person inside and out. Someone will come in your life and like you and care about you, and respect you for who you are. You don't need him. The only reason he wants you to ask him out is to have something to brag about to his little buddies. Keep your head high and in the right place and someone special will come your way, be patient.

Don't ask him out... I would ask him why is he acting like that though, not sticking up for you, not asking you out. And tell him that if he's not asking you out, you won't ask him out either and well, he'll sure miss a big thing in his life :-P see how he reacts, if he's still not making any move, forget it, guys need to grow up to keep in pace with girls!

hmm.. there is either one of two situations going on here
1- He likes you but he is too afraid to admit it so he (says your ugly). what you need to do is ask him to go out with you to like the movies or something but dont ask him when there is a big group of people around. then ask him to be your boyfriend
2- he doesnt like you but a rumor got around that he did. in this case you could ask him to go out with you and if he says no then you know that it was just a false rumor.

Doesn't sound like you had anything to begin with. You can't break off what was never on. Turn your thoughts elsewhere, maybe when he grows up some more he will be ready to be a boyfriend but he isn't there yet.
