c. What force holds the elements together to form this compound caleed carcon monoxide?

First you need to figure out which elements are in Carbon monoxide, I'm sure you can figure out one, but the other is hidden in the second word. Mono means one, and Oxide is a form of an element, you should hopefully be able to figure out which one.
Then you need to look at your periodic table. Try to find one that is has some color to it. where most of it is one color, on the left side, and that there are a few in between that are a different color and then there are more of a different color on the right side.
Metals are on the left side, semi-metals are in between and non-metals are on the right side.
There are three kinds of bonds that commonly hold compounds together, ionic, covelent and metalic. You should look up the kinds of bonds, and which kind of elements have those bonds.
BTW this could be a bit of a trick question and that part a or b could have nothing for its answer.
