"Or so you tell her"? Obviously you don't love your wife and you started the whole thing. While it is inappropriate for your boss to get involved it is entirely inappropriate for you to bad mouth your wife to everyone at work. So I suggest that you quit your job and remember to keep your mouth shut at your new one. And it would be nice to apologize to your wife. You may even want to do her a favor and divorce her.

The usual reason for a man talking about another mans wife is if the husband was complaining about her or if the man knew the wife and had his own reasons and in that case I would tell him that I didn't want to hear it, sure he's entitled to his own opinions of the wife but he shouldn't push his opinions on to anyone especially her husband, if the husband was running his wife down to his boss I would suggest putting an end to this or it will never end. Perhaps hubby should grow some balls and tell him off, I wouldn't quit my job no way show some balls and maybe get promoted or at very least respected.

Well, if I have told my wife she has nothing to worry about why would she be worried? As far as the boss butting into his personal life goes, it can only be done if it is allowed to happen. I would chill and see what happens and not worry about what someone I didn't care for thought of me or my wife. My boss would not be the one living with her. I would. Therefore, I would hope and pray both my wife and my boss would back off of me and be quiet with opinions unless I ask for them.

NO but Id tell the guy man to man that my wife is my business and as long as I work in his business he should mind his business about the best thing in my life or it might cost his.
And if that costs me my job then so be it . you can get another job but your lady is a one time treasure lose it and some one else will off with it as soon as you don't look after her
