In Canada, the simple discussion amongst Christians who want freedom from persecution over their Biblical beliefs is being met with rage by gay extremists.

railroad dave - you have a point and I'm hoping liberals will leave Christians alone. The problem certainly isn't with the conservatives on this issue.

Christians have always been persecuted, and will always be persecuted. The types of persecution we endure in the 21st century are much preferable to the types that were endured by early Christians-- lions' dens, etc.

Anyone can believe anything they want. In very few countries is belief something that can be prosecuted or forbidden. And certainly not in the US, Canada or most European counties.

Conduct is another matter, and conduct (actions) can be neutrally regulated as long as the laws are enforced equally. Religion gets no special exemption for actions, but neither can actions be punished because they are religiously motivated. That's free exercise.

But just because you can believe in the Bible, and follow the practices of your church, doesn't mean you automatically get the right to force everyone else to follow the same practices. Not even if you do happen to be in the majority.

Sure, they've got the right here in the US... but why would anyone want to believe in such a hypocritical piece of sh*t written by a bunch of misogynistic men with an entirely skewed perception of the world (meaning they had to be on SOMETHING...)? Way to spread the prejudice, racism, gender bias, DEATH...
And of course gay extremists, as you've termed them, have the right to be angry over such things written in the Bible. What would happen if someone told you that YOUR sexual orientation was messed up? Now, imagine that a BOOK, a totally inanimate object, says it instead of a person. That is just utter bullsh*t. By the way, this book also says that shellfish is an abomination. What do you think about THAT!?!

I'm not Canadian, but I've never met a liberal who was remotely interested in doing away with freedom of religion, so I have a hard time understanding how that could be true unless these "gay extremists" were themselves persecuted. People can react badly when they feel threatened.

That is not true. Liberals believe in freedom of religion for everyone. They also believe that a big part of freedom of religion is being able to live your life in such a way that other people's religions should not affect your daily life. They do not believe in the persecution of Christianity but rather its removal from governing things such as what is taught in school, etc. because it interferes with other people's freedom of religion and I wholeheartedly agree .

I am so sick of hearing how Christians are being persecuted when they don't get their way. They pretty much run the friggin' country!

I believe you are confused. This is a question of religion not liberalism. There are religious liberals too.

I think your misinformed. Everyone has a right to believe in what ever it is that floats their boat, and the last people who would tell them thee didn't have that right would be a Liberals.

NO

According to Bill Frisk all Democrats want to surrender to Islam

That would ban the bible and make the koran the only book in America.
