It depends on several things. First, I would want to be in great health with no pain. At age 100, that's not likely. Second, my quality of life is enhanced by my good friends. Though I have many friends younger than I am, at age 100, the youngest ones would be 80, and most of the others would be dead or probably in declining health. My grandmother lived to her 90s and said it was difficult seeing three of her four children die and all of her good friends die. She was very lonely. Third, I'm concerned about the way the world is headed. I don't think I particularly want to be around to see the next nuclear weapon detonated, the next pandemic, the next depression, and so on. It always surprises me when people say they want to live to be 100. I assume they're thinking they'd be in their current healthy body with their current friends and current general well-being -- which is unlikely in the extreme at 100.

i don't think so. my great grandmother just passed away at 98. she was still in her right mind and still took care of herself but she was always saying everything (or every part of her body) hurt. I think even with everything still working you would just get tired of being around. plus I'm not sure I want to see what this world is going to be like when I am 100.
