Our kitchen floor is wood with tile inlays. What is the best thing you have used on wood that makes it shine (without doing anything to harm the tile).

When I had my floors finished I was told not to use soap of any kind only a liquid wood floor cleaner like Pledge. It dries quick with a micro fiber mop and leaves no residue.

I have wood floor 10 years and looking like new - just water and little vinegar or just water.

Water is the best thing to use. Its cheap and it works.
