Yes, you can download and save videos from YouTube. There are free programs available (Riva, Keepvid) that allows you to do this. There are also codecs available to play the videos through your Windows Media Player, so you don't have to use those crappy flash video players. No I know most people say that if you wanna download things you hafta do the whole save as thing but it doesnt save the video it just saves it as a HTML form or a hyper link form not a video form

I do not know. I have been adding my favorite videos to my favorites, but I do not know if they are going to be available if YOU Tube takes them off.

far left corner of puter screen, hit file, then "save as". it will ask where you want to save it(what folder).
