They claim that trials of fake fur did not work ... they are still using the real thing.

Britons are entrenched with traditions, no-the-least of which are military one regarding ceremony. I do not think they will ever stop.

Very tough - on the one hand I love British traditions - and the fake bearskins just do not do the job properly (have you seen them in the wet)
On the other I love bears and don't like to see them killed for their fur.
Sorry will have to pass on this one.

They haven't been made of real bearskin in years. They switched to a synthetic fiber a long time ago.

I understand that they are not bear any longer.
I had heard they were faux fur now.
