I got my period today, after a 50 day cycle. I am starting Clomid on Saturday. My husband travels a lot in the Fall, however he will be home for this round. Most likely (if i don't get pregnant the first time) he will not be around for me to take it in Oct (and maybe even November). Are you only supposed to take Clomid if you can commit to it for a few months straight, or is it totally ok to take it one month, not the next, then take it again. Thanks for your help!

No, if you will miss a round, then I would skip it andcont the next month when you will be able to try during ovulation. I also am on clomid and a medical personel, so I have the experience ;)

This is something you might want to talk to your doctor about to get the best advice possible.

I took it off & on for 3 years with no luck. Then found a doctor who knew what she was doing (Reproductive Endocronolgist) & she started to monitor me while on the Clomid. After four months of taking clomid & having ultrasounds, I got pregnant.

I think you can take Clomid only on the months you are wanting to conceive. When I took it, I had a very large number of eggs that would develop. I would think that it is not necessarily the best thing for your body to keep producing a lot of eggs if you dont need to.
