If the scratches aren't too deep then you should get them out with Jewellers Rouge, then try buffing it.

Try a good quality car wax ,this will either disguise them so less noticeable , or remove if not to deep a scratch

Normally sand paper scratches are done when decorating so will probably be deep, the simple and cheapest answer is replace them your self,Wine fly

jewelers rouge can help,rub scratches with wooden peg with rouge on tip its hard work and can take some time.It rounds off sharp edges on scratches so you can not see them.Good luck

try using Brasso or a similar metal polish they wont be perfect but it worked on my mobile phone screen quite well
