My biggest fear is taking two minutes of my life--every minute is so precious you know--responding to this question and not earning ten points as BEST ANSWER!

Simple! HOUSE FIRE...
Was in San Diego on 7th floor when we were awaken by sirens.
Looked out the window and fire trucks unloading hoses and fireman running to the entrance to the Holiday Inn. (New) I opened the sliding door and the pool was on the third floor. I was trying to figure out the deep end. That would have been a four stories to the pool in eight feet of water. I did not panic, neither did my wife. I said if worst comes to worst we can make the pool, and she said alright. I opened the door to the hallway and people were going down elevators, which is a definate no-no. I told her the exit is 7 doors down and that is the way we got to the main lobby floor. When we got there we seen fireman going up the elevators, and I thought how dumb. End result! No fire..
